Pa. Woman Charged With Starving Brother:
"A woman kept her quadriplegic younger brother in a filthy room and deprived him of food and water until he starved to death, police said . . . . Kimberly Loebig, 36, was arrested Tuesday on criminal homicide charges stemming from the death of her brother, 29-year-old Scott Thomas Olsen, who was found by paramedics Dec. 7 in his sister's suburban Pittsburgh home . . . . Olsen, who was more than six feet tall, weighed 63 pounds, police said. ``He looked like a Holocaust victim,'' said Lt. Tom Haser."

Lest you think I believe men are the only terrorists.

CNN.com - Man convicted of raping infant - Mar 13, 2004:
"Standifer, 23, will be sentenced to life in prison, the only penalty allowed by law when a child younger than 12 is raped."

Is that a Florida law? Or a federal law? I need to learn more about this stuff. It's a great law anyway. I'm assuming it's just too hard to prove rape except in super extreme situations like this one though, otherwise it seems we would have a lot fewer problems with people getting out and doing the same brutal shit to other kids.
CNN.com - Sheriff: Man runs over ex-wife, mother-in-law - Mar 15, 2004:
"A 69-year-old man rammed a pickup truck into his ex-wife's home and then ran her and her 85-year-old mother down as they tried to flee, killing them both . . . "
CNN.com - Murder suspect 'best dad anybody could ever have' - Mar 14, 2004:
"Police have charged 57-year-old Marcus Wesson with nine counts of murder in the deaths, which include the killings of at least two children police said he fathered with his own daughters."

And again, I have to puke at CNN blatantly charging $9.95 a month so that people can watch videos of a young girl being abducted before being murdered, a guy who rapes and kills his family, etc. And they also offer you the opportunity to sign up for email alerts whenever there is a story about murders, rapes, etc. FANTASTIC!!

It's not that I blame the media for profiting on our macabre fascinations, I am just tired of the public outcry over pornography when it is not 10% as sickening, disturbed, and dangerous as CNN's marketing, for example.
